Food is still above average. However I do not understand why there is service charge now. After placing order in the app, you are still required to go to the counter to make payment. The vibe there is really gloomy from the moment you step in, the staff seemed really tense. With so many other food options in Hillion mall, I won't be back that soon.

Ordered a chilled cha soba in light broth (S$9.46 including GST & Service Charge) and to my surprise the portion is so small.

Imagine getting green tea wrong. Weekday set meals are priced at $10 (excluding service charge and GST) while the ala carte mains are about $10-$20. Food failed to impress and service was bad. Female wait staff looked uninterested and lazy.

Tried the Cheese Curry Katsu and Tori Tendon. The curry was rich and mildly spiced, and the melted cheese added a creamy touch that paired well with the crispy katsu, though it would have been better with a bit more cheese. The Tori Tendon was satisfying, with a light and crisp batter that was not oily, though the portion was on the smaller side. Service was quick and efficient, and the setting felt casual and fuss free, making it a good spot for a convenient Japanese meal at a reasonable price.

Had a great experience at Tempura Tendon Tenya! The food was delicious and the portions were surprisingly generous for the price. I found the cost to be quite reasonable. What really stood out was the excellent service. I was dining with my child, and a staff member immediately came over to help me set up the baby chair, which was much appreciated. We'll definitely be coming back!
