THE NEIGHBOURWOK 街坊 is a homegrown Singapore brand that emerged during the 2020 pandemic, founded by a Bukit Batok native with a passion for serving great food to the community. The name pays tribute to both the heartland neighbourhood and the wok-fried cooking at the heart of its signature dish.The Clementi Mall outlet at #04-20/21/22 serves the brand's acclaimed fried Hokkien prawn mee — a wet-style rendition featuring a combination of yellow noodles and thick vermicelli stir-fried in a rich, savoury prawn stock, topped with juicy prawns, pork belly strips, and squid strips, accompanied by chilli, pork lard, and lime.
The menu also includes chicken, pork, and mutton satay, as well as grilled skewer prawns. THE NEIGHBOURWOK has earned notable recognition including a Top 300 Hawker Singapore award from Seth Lui and a Top 3 finish in the North-South Zone at Singapore Food Masters 2022. Was excited to see a reputable HKM stall opening in the west. Ordered a $9.90 portion. But must say quite a disappointment. Base is the wet type I like, but dilute and lack of punch, esp till the end. Pork belly got some unpleasant pork taste. 3.5 prawns. Last one half the size of the bigger one. Normal crunch for the prawns. Sotong one mouth and a bit .. gone le. Noodles portion ok. But the noodles so short, till it just slips on the chopsticks so easily. Like no need to use chopsticks kind. Quite tedious to eat. Something that's quite dismay is that for $9.90, the fried pork lard is like a few pieces. Then I asked $9.90 portion so few fried pork lard, lady said cannot too much. When the Guy who cooked served also fried pork like serve a few pieces. Likely SOP. There's a crunch in the fried pork lard but not most fresh and crunchy. Some bits burnt too. Too much social media hype, till I auto prompt myself to come quickly during off peak. Service and experience quite poor. CP value low. Ong ... why are u so far away. This taste is v slightly better than 328 Clementi. But service attitude of 328 is way better. Ask for fried pork lard, auto give one table spoon or one soup spoon full. Not 2-3 fray cubes. Overall, eat Ann Chin popiah in Clementi is a better option.

Had high expectation after seeing several reviews at the stall front. Ordered a small at $6.90 to takeaway and the portion was substantial. It came with pork lard, boiled pork belly strips, squid strips, egg bits, two prawns and two limes on the side. Their style uses just thick bee hoon. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience as taste was rather bland and there was no wok hey. At least the ingredients used were fresh and they weren't stingy. Noodle portion was too much. Shared it with my Mum but 1/3 went to waste owing to lack of flavour. Hate to say but the cook's skill and the recipe need a relook.

Noodles were springy and had a nice bite. Good hints of wok hei too. Portions were pretty generous too for the price. One of the better hokkien prawn noodles I've had in Singapore.

It’s in the newly renovated and freezing food court that was previously Boleh Boleh. By 5pm on a Monday evening, it is crowded and noisy with retired locals in the vicinity. If you like corn floury gravy noodles with eggs, this is your kind of Singapore Fried Hokkien Mee - brought to you by NeighbourWOK Taste is authentic, and leaves you thirsty after; but it really is nothing to shout about after all the raving reviews by local celebrities and influencers. For a small portion at S$6.90, you only get one small ring of squid which is disappointing. It’s predominantly noodles, egg and gravy more than anything else.

Hkkm is good but the chili portion…1st time I buy free even when I ask for extra, 2nd time need pay $1 nvm but didn’t even put the extra chilli inside when I rched back. Then 4th time I buy the extra chilli packet become smaller than the usual …pls be consistent can….😂 The portion so big but the chilli only one small drip. The chilli is important 🙏🏻
