Chi-Bing at The Star Vista

Chi-Bing is a Korean restaurants that serves Korean bbq, well known Korean dishes as well as flavoured shaved ice. We came here for a team lunch and ordered the army Stew, the bacon and vegetarian chive pancakes as well as a vegetarian bibimbap. The food arrived quickly, with the stoves for the armry Stew setup quickly. The Korean side dishes were also plenty and delicious. The army Stew had a large assortment of ingredients and was delicious. The pancakes were fried to perfection, crispy and umami. The bibimbap was served in a stone pot, and what was interesting was that the rice did not get overcooked and burnt like usual claypots but only instead only reached a brown crispy texture and was easy to scrape off the sides. A definite plus. Overall the food was really good, and the staff were really helpful and polite. Will definitely come back again to try their bingsu next. 9/10.

One of our favourite place in Star Vista. Food is great, I love their Bingsu. The nicest Bingsu in SG in my opinion - the injeolmi Bingsu is really nice, not too sweet. And I love how they are genuinely welcoming to our dogs.

Chibing is such an underrated hidden gem omg 🫡🔥 might be my new fave spot for convenient Korean food but ngl, kinda pricey 😭 outdoor seating is PET FRIENDLY (!!) and super cooling even w/o aircon 🌿💨 vibes are immaculate fr, and their menu has EVERYTHING—bbq, hot dishes, bingsu, croffles, coffee, u name it 👌 service is CRAZY FAST and all the staff (including the super sweet Korean owner) were SO welcoming 💗 our dog even got ice water before we did… and then refused to leave after we were done LOL 🐶💀 🍗 Butter Garlic Chicken ($22.90) – 4/5 SO CRISPY 😩 perfect batter-to-chicken ratio, super juicy inside 🔥 sauce is RICH creamy + sweet, w garlic adding that savory kick 🧄💥 kinda jelak after a while but SO GOOD 🍜 Rabbokki ($13.90 + $7.00) – 2/5 $7 FOR INSTANT NOODLES⁉️ 😭😭 overpriced fr noodles were mid 🫠 tteok was soft & smooth tho!! sauce is more on the sweet side, not very spicy 🤷‍♀️ 🥶 Naengmyeon ($17.90) – 3/5 comes w scissors, vinegar & mustard 🏆 broth was ICE COLD w shaved ice but kinda watered down?? noodles were a bit clumpy but still decent!! nothing crazy but solid enough 👌 🔥 Beef BBQ Set ($104) – 3/5 they helped grill table-side since we were outdoors which was nice BUT meat got cold fast since we couldn’t leave it on the grill 🫠 🥩 Beef ribs – super fatty, juicy, amazing caramelization 🤤 rich beefy flavor but abit hard to chew 😶‍🌫️ 🥓 Beef slices – much lighter, easier to eat but kinda bland? not v memorable tbh 😕 🍖 LA beef galbi – THE STAR 🌟 sweet, smoky, garlicky, crispy edges, juicy but not greasy, just flavor bomb perfection 🔥🔥 🍳 Steamed egg – SO GOOD 😭 soft fluffy egg w caipor (preserved radish) that adds a nice umami hit 🫶 light + natural tasting, no weird MSG/cheese overload like some places 🌱 served w fresh, crunchy lettuce & dipping sauces bc Korean BBQ lettuce is ALWAYS elite 🫡✨ 🥢 Side Dishes 🟣 Purple cabbage pickles – LOVE these omg so good 💜 🌿 Kelp & sausage – really tasty!! 🐟 Kimchi & fishcakes – weirdly fishy??? not a fan 💀 🔥 next time I NEED to try their bingsu 🤩💖 but overall, chibing is SUCH a solid spot w cozy vibes & 10/10 service 🫶✨ @hangrycheyanne.

A great place for lunch with generous serving portions! The side dishes are plentiful, and I especially love their mini stew soup — just the right size for one person with a lighter appetite. Their kimchi has a nice balanced flavor, not too sour, and the kimchi pancake is perfectly savory. Highly recommended for those who enjoy hearty Korean meals.

Although the staff were nice and the interior had a great atmosphere, the food itself was quite mediocre. I got the Jjajangmyeon and Tteokbeoki and both were quite watered down and not that flavourful. Perhaps their specialty items like their KBBQ and bingsu. Though their portions were quite large, the price was definitely on the more expensive side.
