A heritage yong tau foo stall known for stuffed tofu and vegetables in a clear, savoury broth.
Tiong Bahru Yong Tao Hu is a name that carries the weight of heritage in Singapore's yong tau foo scene, serving up the classic Hakka dish of stuffed tofu pieces, bittergourd, eggplant, and other vegetables filled with minced fish paste, all poached and served in a light, savoury broth.
Diners pick their preferred items, choose between dry or soup versions, and add noodles or rice for a complete, nourishing meal that feels both comforting and relatively healthy.
The fish paste is noticeably fresh and springy — a mark of a yong tau foo stall that takes its craft seriously. For an authentic, satisfying bowl of yong tau foo rooted in tradition, Tiong Bahru Yong Tao Hu is a name to trust.
First time patronising and maybe the last. Felt very constrained dinning in. Ordered Chee Chong Fun and Laksa Yong Tao Hu. Overpriced and taste below my expectations. Based on the reviews foresee might be closing soon in the near future. Sorry not my cup of tea.

The space is rather small with limited seating and the seats are all close to each other, so it’s pretty much a place that you just “eat and go”. Service was mediocre, the staff before the counter was expressionless and wasn’t very helpful in the explaining the difference between certain YTF on the menu. It’s our first time trying this so we had to get the original YTF and we also opted for the laksa YTF. The original YTF was light and clean, nicely salted with a decent amount of ingredients and bee hoon. The laksa YTF was my personal favourite as it was flavourful with a nice light spicy kick. It wasn’t the thick kind of gravy so it felt light and it wasn’t too salty so we could actually drink the soup.

Favorite Yong Tao Hu place, same good taste as their main Tiong Bahru Eng Hoon branch. Love the dry YTH and laksa.

Really enjoy the Ampang Yong Tau Foo here, Bean sauce is well-flavoured and goes well with rice. Every piece pf yong tau foo is so good, especially the beancurd skin piece. Seems like the staff missed out the vegetables. Normally it comes with a small portion of white cabbage. better to takeaway during meal peak timings as the shop is small so limited seats.
