Went to takeaway yong tau foo with my own tingkat. The lady at the stall was unhappy and said next time use their box, don’t bring our own box. There’s also a charge to the box. First time encounter takeaway food , stall lady insist to charge takeaway fees and must use their box. Got black face and sort of told off by her for bringing our tingkat.

One of my favourite places to eat fragrant chicken rice. However there were multiple times I received more bones than meat. Quite upsetting cause I requested extra chicken. Otherwise, the dumpling soup is good. Veggies are good. The rice is my favourite! Wished they avoid giving bones 😭

Best chicken rice around Bukit Panjang. Always back for more. The roast chicken with special gravy, fragrance rice and chilli is so so good. Aircon food court and clean too!

Cantine at Greenridge Shopping Centre has become my regular haunt, especially when I need a quiet break from work or a relaxed spot after church on Sundays. It's a relatively peaceful food court compared to many others, offering a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Importantly, it's Halal certified, providing a great range of options for the Muslim community and everyone else. The variety of stalls is quite good for its size. I've tried several over the years, with mostly positive experiences: Drinks & Breakfast Stall: This is another of my regular stops, especially for their breakfast menu. I usually get the Signature Breakfast set ($2.90), which comes with Kaya Butter toast, 2 soft-boiled eggs, and a Kopi or Teh (my regular is a Teh C Kosong). It's typically an above-average set, and the Teh C is always good. On my most recent visit, one of the eggs was unfortunately undercooked (as pictured), but this is usually not the case. It's a reliable 4-star option for a classic local breakfast. Chicken Rice: This stall is a long-time personal favourite, and we've been customers since the old Banquet days (over 15 years!). Their specialty is the Roast Chicken, which is consistently tender, moist, and flavourful. The rice is fragrant and firm (粒粒分明), and the sauces are fantastic—a properly shiok chilli and a thick, high-quality black soy sauce. It's a bit pricey for a food court, but the top-notch quality has kept us coming back for years. (Solid 4*) Yong Tau Foo: This is my other personal go-to here. It's not the absolute best YTF in Singapore, but it's consistently decent and reliable. They have a good selection of fresh ingredients, plenty of noodle choices (their kway teow holds up well even in soup!), and versatile options like clear soup, Laksa, Tom Yum, or the dry version. It’s a very customizable and comforting meal. (Solid 4*) Japanese Cuisine: I was pleasantly surprised by their Cheese Gyuniku Don. The portion was generous, the beef tender, and the cheesy topping satisfying. While the rice was a little soft, it was a genuinely good food court donburi that makes me want to try their other offerings. (Good 4*) Texas Lone Star: This Western stall is another reliable choice. Their Deep Fried Chicken Steak is above average, and their 'Signature Chicken Cordon Bleu'—which is actually a grilled chicken chop with a nice garlic butter sauce—was also tender and flavourful, even if the name was a bit misleading. (Good 4*) SH Indian Food: This stall offers decent fare, but I've found their flavours consistently mild across the board. The Indian Rojak had fresh ingredients but a diluted, overly sweet sauce. Similarly, the Nasi Goreng Ayam had a hint of wok hei but was quite bland overall. It's acceptable, but lacks punch. (Average 3*) Beyond these, there are other interesting stalls I've yet to try, like the Thai Food and Carrot Cake stall, ensuring there's usually something for everyone. Overall, Cantine @ Greenridge gets a solid 4 stars from me. While not every stall might be a culinary masterpiece, the general quality is good, the variety is decent, and the quiet, cozy environment makes it a very pleasant place to have a meal. It's a valuable F&B option for residents in the area.
