BANTIANYAO Grilled Fish 半天妖烤鱼 at IMM

Honestly idk why people are saying the food here is fantastic, it tasted very average and also very oily. Came here to try since there is 50% off during weekdays which the whole store has only few customers dining. $2 for free flow rice, snacks, drinks, and fruits but only watermelon is available with uneven and small cuts, didn't see any snacks as well. I also noticed a man walking back and forth kept looking at our table which I assume is the boss, the way he observes the customers table makes us feel a little uncomfortable like we're consistently being monitored for whatever reason. if you don't believe what I say, you can try the grilled fish located at Westgate Food Junction. the soup has stronger umami taste, trust me it won't go wrong!

Tried the garlic flavour and spicy numbing grilled fish during their promo. Both tasted decent and flavourful, and the portions were pretty huge. There were also free flow sides, drinks and ice cream. The downside was that we only found out that the promo was only applicable to 1 fish per table when we made payment. The staff did not inform us when we ordered, nor was it stated on their promo banner. Hence, we felt scammed and misled. Also, the staff said that if the promo was applicable to all, then they won't be able to cover their rent, which I felt was not very nice and unnecessary.
