Science Centre Singapore is running Spookology from 27 October to 1 November 2026. The Jurong East museum is not doing a haunted house. It is turning the galleries into four Fear Labs and asking you to work a case file. Day tickets start at $6 for Singaporean and PR children. Afterdark on 30 and 31 October is the late slot, with DJs, an Omni-Theatre short film, and stargazing if the sky cooperates.
The official story is simple. A secret experiment went wrong. Something that should have stayed in the lab is loose. You pick up an Investigator Case File at the door, hunt for evidence, and complete four labs. Finish all four and the Centre opens a secret lab. 8world says the last beat is a three-minute attempt to stop a giant spider. Science Centre's own page is vaguer. It calls the last room classified. Either way, the labs are the product, not jump-scare actors in a corridor.
Four labs, any order
Fear Lab 01 is Movement. You get a mechanical object recovered from the scene and work out how gears and linkages make it look alive. Fear Lab 02 is Touch. You cannot see inside. Hands only. Fear Lab 03 is Sound. An echo is bouncing through the building and you have to break it apart. Fear Lab 04 is Illusion. Witnesses described something enormous. Light, distance, and shadow are the tools. The Centre says the labs can be done in any order. Keep the Case File. Question the first answer that feels too neat.
The Centre is clear about sensory load. Dimmed lights, coloured lighting, haze, and loud effects are in play. It also says this is not a haunted house. That distinction matters if you are bringing kids who like puzzles more than scream rooms. Daytime Spookology Edition is 10am to 5pm, galleries dressed for the case, age 6 and up on the main trail. Come in a costume if you want. There is a best-dressed contest.
Afterdark, 30 and 31 October
Afterdark is the night programme. Science Centre lists it 7pm to 11pm on 30 and 31 October, last entry 11pm on the wider event page that quotes midnight close. Buy the Kanchiong Spider ticket if you want the 60 percent cut. That pass is $15 against a $40 usual price, limited slots. It includes the four labs, Robo Trick or Treat, the best-dressed contest, Omni-Theatre horror film walk-in, observatory stargazing if the weather holds, one drink, and gallery access after dark. VIP is $80, or $60 for Annual Pass holders, with parking, express lanes, a $69.90 merch pack, and an extra drink.
The film is INSANITY, PG13, shot inside the Centre. The logline is a man looping through the same exhibits. Science Cafe: Face Your Fears is a separate $20 dinner on 23 October for ages 18 and up, with live insects, insect protein at The Bug Bar, and a preview of that film. It sits before the main Spookology week. Do not mix the dates.
Annual Pass complimentary admission does not apply during Spookology from 27 to 31 October. Pass holders still get 50 percent off the daytime Spookology Edition ticket, and $10 Afterdark. Standard daytime walk-up is $20 adult and $12 child or senior. Singaporeans and PRs pay $10 and $6.
KidsSTOP if the main trail is too much
Spookology Juniors at KidsSTOP runs 30 October to 1 November. KidsSTOP is the children's science centre next door at 21 Jurong Town Hall Road, not the main 15 Science Centre Road halls. Missions include a flying spectre in a wind tube, nocturnal animals, a sensory brew, and a four-metre slide if the child actually wants the height. Complete three missions and they stamp a limited sticker. Hidden pumpkins sit in the galleries during AM and PM sessions. Mass dances are 7pm and 8pm on 30 and 31 October. Peak Singaporean and PR tickets are $5 adult and $10 child. Off-peak drops to $2 and $5.
F&B on the main trail is themed. Antidote shots. Spider egg popcorn. That is the level of joke. Eat a real dinner in Jurong East before Afterdark if you are staying past 9pm. The Centre is a 8 to 10 minute walk from Jurong East MRT. Chinese Garden and Lakeside are the other East-West stops if you are pairing this with the lake. Science Centre is closed most Mondays. This run is Tuesday 27 October through Sunday 1 November, so the usual Monday shut does not cut the week.
Glowing Oceans, Asia's first full-scale living bioluminescence show at the Centre, opens 3 November, two days after Spookology ends. Do not buy the Super Glow bundle thinking it covers Halloween week. It does not. Tickets for Spookology are on the Centre's own shop. 8world and BYKidO match the official dates and the $6 starting price. Use the Science Centre page for T&Cs. The Afterdark film is walk-in. Stargazing is weather dependent.
