Taman Jurong Market and Food Centre
Five-storey market at 3 Yung Sheng Road. Locals still call the food floors 六十档, from the 60 stalls of Yung Sheng Food Centre (1972). Rebuilt 2005 with old Market I. A market, not Taman Jurong Shopping Centre.
About Taman Jurong Market and Food Centre
Taman Jurong Market and Food Centre is the hawker the lake towns actually use. NHB lists it at 3 Yung Sheng Road, Singapore 618499. Yung Sheng Food Centre opened in July 1972 with 60 permanent stalls, which is why people still say 六十档. Jurong Market I sat nearby. Both were rebuilt into this five-storey block in 2005. Wet market is downstairs and morning. Cooked-food stalls keep their own hours. Feng Zhen lor mee and the minced-meat noodle stalls are the usual names. Lakeside or Chinese Garden MRT, then a bus. Pair it with Jurong Lake Gardens. Do not send people only to Jem. Taman Jurong Shopping Centre is a separate mall row already on this site. This slug is the hawker building. NEA washing days shut stalls. Check before you go.
