About Little Guilin
Little Guilin is the quarry lake in Bukit Batok Town Park. NParks lists 42 hectares along Bukit Batok East Avenue 5. The granite cliffs and flooded quarry earned the Chinese name 小桂林. The hill was noisy quarry land in the 1950s. The pit flooded in the 1980s. The park is open 24 hours. There is no carpark inside. Pets are not allowed. Fishing is banned. Bukit Gombak MRT is the walk. Grey-headed fish eagles use the cliffs. People photograph the lake at dusk when the lights come on. Do not mix this row with Bukit Batok Nature Park, the second quarry a few streets south with a WWII plaque. West Mall is Saturday shopping for the town. This row is the lake.
