About Jurong Lake Gardens

Jurong Lake Gardens is the West’s weekend park. NParks calls it Singapore’s third national garden and the first in the heartlands. Lakeside Garden (about 60 ha) sits on the west of the lake. Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden reopened 8 September 2024 after the 2019–2024 works. Together they make about 90 ha. Lakeside Garden is open 24 hours. Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden run 05:30–00:00. Twin Pagoda hours are 07:00–22:00. Forest Ramble, Clusia Cove and the skatepark close Monday for maintenance (and Tuesday if Monday is a public holiday). Information counters at Pagoda Plaza, Water Lily Pavilion and Entrance Pavilion are 08:30–18:30. Grasslands and Neram Streams have no night lighting. Do not walk those nature areas after dark. Lakeside MRT is the short walk to Lakeside Plaza. Chinese Garden MRT is the pagoda walk. Jurong East MRT is a longer walk to Japanese Garden Bridge. North Carpark is Chinese Garden Road. South Carpark is Japanese Garden Road. This is an attraction. Jem, Westgate and IMM are the malls on Jurong East station. Eat at Yuhua Village or Taman Jurong after the walk, not only in a food court.
